Employees celebrating Canaday 150

Giving Back

Our employees don't just work to serve the communities of Cambridge, North Dumfries and the County of Brant - many of us live here too. A charitable and giving spirit is alive in our organization. In 2016, our employees wore their jeans on Fridays and raised over $3,000 for a number of local charities. We exceeded our workplace campaign and raised $27,000 for the United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries.

We contributed $4,396 to local child nutrition programs that support learning in our communities, as part of our  paperless billing campaign in 2016.

Local schools and community groups may Request a safety education speaker to come to your organization.

Community Outreach

We support community organizations wherever possible, including United Way, the Self Help Food Bank, the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Children's Safety Villages, community festivals and more. For several years, we have sponsored the Children's Hero Awards with our neighbouring hydro utilities.

Employee Giving

 April Fight Back Against Cancer

Our employees give back to our communities in many ways, both by volunteering with organizations on their own time and by giving their time to support corporate initiatives such as Paint the Office Yellow for Canadian Cancer Society, the annual Adopt a Road clean up, SickKids Foundation, Santa Claus parade participation and our annual United Way fundraising campaigns.

Helping Out In Emergencies

During widespread power emergencies such as the 2013 December Ice Storm and 2012 U.S. Hurricane Sandy, when we get the call, our team jumps into action offering mutual aid - trucks, equipment and expertise to help neighbouring utiilities restore power.
