Important Information During a Postal Strike

Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers are currently negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement. It is possible that we may face a postal service disruption sometime in October.

Sign Up for Paperless eBill

Customers are encouraged to sign up for Paperless eBilling, in order to avoid the inconvenience of a postal disruption. By signing up for Paperless eBilling, a customer will receive an email notification with a link to access their bill, about 2 weeks in advance of the due date. Customers can view, print and save the bill at their convenience - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Pay Bill During a Postal Strike

  1. Customers are responsible for making a bill payment by the due date, even if mail service is disrupted.
  2. Do not mail the bill payment if a strike is expected, or during a strike / lock-out.  Consider other Payment Options.
  3. Late payment fees will apply.

Payment Options

During a postal disruption, customers have many convenient and efficient options for paying their Energy+ bill including:

Vendor Payments

To ensure that there is no delay in receiving payment for goods and services provided to Energy+, your organization can enroll for Electronic Funds Transfer (“EFT”) payment. More details and enrollment form.
